Friends -
I sent this message earlier this week, and apparently the site has been on and off with maintenance issues.  I also have found that if you try to access it from a Mac, there can be problems.  Dunno why, but I don't want any of that to get in the way of you getting your shot at the BIG POUR TICKETS!

Let me know if you've tried to donate but got stymied.  We'll work something out.

Ever grateful for your generosity,
Helen (the creaky-kneed one)

...unless you want to chill your beers in one.

Just a reminder, good neighbors, that I'm fundraising for a half marathon run in honor of one of Highland Park's very own.  The run benefits LLS, not ALS - and according to the National Cancer Institute, more than 156,000 people a year are diagnosed with blood cancer.  It accounts for over 9% of all new cancer cases.

Please consider donating to this cause.  My nephew, my dad, and my neighbor are alive because of research funded in part by LLS.

And best yet - if you donate before Friday, your name gets put in the hat for a pair of BIG POUR TICKETS!  First session, Sept 6.  $15 gets your name in once, $25 gets it in twice.  ($50?  5 times!)

The ALS challenge has demonstrated the generosity folks are capable of expressing.  Thanks in advance for considering this cause.

Gratefully,
Your middle-aged neighbor on the creaky knees, Helen
