Greetings, Highland Parkers!

It was great to see so many of you at our free screening of Blood Brother.  Once again, we've got a number of terrific and free events at the Seminary (616 N Highland Ave) coming up this week for our annual Alum Days - and I wanted to send word.   Follow the embedded links for more info.

Science and Religion -  Dr Deb Haarsma, astrophysicist and president of Biologos, will be presenting 3 lectures on Friday, May 2, offering an alternative to the usual science-religion polemics.  She's a terrific presenter and her presentations promise to be very compelling;

Congregational Conflict - On Thursday, May 1, Dr Andrew Park will present two lectures on the Korean notion of shame ("han") and its destructive power in denominational dynamics... as well as a hopeful path through the pain.  For those of you interested in the current conflicts in the Anglican/Episcopal, PC(USA), and UMC churces, this might provide new insight.

And finally, a free concert with ancient music and instruments from Mesopotamia, Egypt, and Greece!  Join us on the evening of May 1 for a one of a kind musical event - Philip and Gayle Neuman of Ensemble de Organographia will fascinate with music from 4000 years ago on replica instruments.
