Dear Neighbors
Here is an exciting volunteer opportunity for next weekend to learn and to help manage rainwater run-off in our area. Hope you can make it.

Hello Friends!!

Rain Garden Volunteers Are Needed!

From 9AM to Noon on Saturday, May 22, 2010, we are building three prototype Rain Gardens in East Liberty.  Rain Gardens redirect run-off from rooftops to natural planting areas in yards where it’s absorbed & allowed to evaporate; Rain Gardens reduce the amount of storm water from hard surfaces from flooding the sewer system & causing pollution in downstream communities.

With your help, we can reduce storm water and pollution.  We’ve got the tools & materials; all we need is you to make it happen.  If you can't make it - send the announcement along!

This is a great opporunity to get hands on experience on how to properly build a functional rain garden!  Ask questions from our expert rain garden crew leaders!

Light breakfast/coffee, as well as lunch provided!

RSVP  loralyn.fabian@eastliberty.org if you want to help on Saturday, May 22.

(If you can't make it on the 22nd, there are also some gardening volunteers need for May 23rd)
