Good morning, 

I just wanted to make everyone aware of a carjacking that took place this week.  Our detectives are working the case but we have not identified a suspect yet.

12/7/16 Carjacking – 5400 block Hays Street, 2:45 PM. A 29 year-old male reported that he was sitting in his car in front of his residence when an unknown black male, 18-24 years old, 5'9", thin build, scruffy facial hair, wearing black pants and a blue hooded sweatshirt, came up to his car with a gun and ordered him to exit the vehicle. The suspect ordered the victim to give him everything he had. The victim handed over his wallet and iPhone. The suspect then fled in the victim's car. This vehicle was later recovered, unoccupied, in East Pittsburgh. (228517)
