Update for Saturday April 28th

I just have a brief update for this week.  As I mentioned last week, we are all waiting for more locally grown items, but they are still trickling in slowly.  Here is an update on events at the market this Saturday.   A summary of the produce is at the bottom of the messsage.

Greenawalt Farm

In addition to locally grown eggs and their normal selection of Amish made products, they will have locally grown rhubarb.  

J.L. KENNEDY MEAT STAND

There is one correction to yesterday's update for the J.L. Kennedy Meat Stand.... There will not no lean ground turkey for this week...it was out of our control but date had to be changed for the following Saturday, May 6 for pick up... thanks and see you Saturday!!!

Kistaco Farm... continues to have locally raised apples.  Items for this week include:

Cider
Appple varieties- Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Idared
A variety of shipped in veggies
Homegrown Kistaco Farm Salad Mix
Vegetable and Herb transplants!

Zang's Greenhouse... Special items for this week include locally foraged Morels, as well as Ramps  Zangs will also have local asparagus and micro greens.  Rick will also have cooking greens (shipped in) such as kale, collards and swiss chard.  Morels are a very special product.  Check out this web site.

The Greek Gourmet-  Mike from the Greek Gourmet wanted me to let everyone know that he will continue to bring the homemade spinach and meat pies to the market each week- in addition to 20+ flavors of hummus.

PA Made Cheese- We will have a new cheese from Common Folk Organics from Lancaster County.  This is a mushroom and leek cheese.  Yum, check it out.

Kew Park Coffee Bar- We will have the last of tangerine juice of the season and orange and grapefruit juice.
