I just got a phone call from an unrestricted number from someone saying they were from the Democratic Party requesting $150 for a campaign contribution for the 2018 races because they were having a donation match today. 

The caller had several hard-sell lines, claiming it was no less secure to donate over the phone than online; that they would lose the match if I gave online, and they could retain the match through a snail mail donation but I would need to state a specific amount before a snail mail donation could be arranged. None of this sounded right, so I hung up on him.

A quick online search turned up no Democratic Party fund match for today, and the profile matches a known scam:
