I have three bags of composted chicken coop “stuff” and each is a half-full lawn waste bag. This compost is comprised of chicken poop, pine shavings, and straw all ready to mix into our heavy poorly-aerated Pennsylvania clay soil. I feed my hens organic feed and put their feed away every night so the number of seeds in the compost is minimal. They are spoiled rotten.
