Reminder: Spring Yard Waste Curbside Collection Guidelines

PITTSBURGH, PA (May 19, 2017) The 1st of the City of Pittsburgh's special biannual curbside yard waste collection is coming up on Saturday, May 20, 2017.  Your participation in this program helps the environment by diverting valuable resources from the landfill.
 
Yard waste includes: leaves, branches (4-inch diameter or less), brush, grass.
 
Place at the curb in your normal recycling/refuse pick up spot before 6:00 am the morning of May 20, 2017 in paper bags weighing less than 35 pounds, bundled with fiber twine or natural rope in branch lengths of 5 feet or less.
 
Yard Waste should NOT contain any of the following prohibited materials:  Plastic Bags, Metal or Wire, Rocks, Blocks, Bricks, Soil, Dirt, Gravel, Glass, Metal or Plastic.
 
Yard Waste found not meeting collection guidelines will be left at the curb.
