I am organizing a discussion of how "we the people" might organize a grass roots effort to elect our city's next mayor. Like it or not, we are all involved in one of the city's most challenging and important periods. Kick-off meeting will be March 21 at 4:00 p.m. at Enrico's Cafe at 1125 N. Highland Avenue. Attendees should be persons interested in helping to plan and organize effort. Goal is to develop action plan, not to host a gripe session. Interested parties should r.s.v.p. at tdickson11@hotmail.com with Subject line "The people's Mayor!" Who should attend the discussion? Persons who (1) believe it is time for we, the people to control our destiny and the choice of who will lead our city; (2) and persons who can help with a possible grass roots campaign to identify and support a grass roots candidate. This model afforded several candidates with no political ties the opportunity to present their ideas and plans to all those person involved in the grass roots effort. Tom
