Hello neighbors,

Next Saturday, Aug. 19th at 10 am we have planned a 45 - 60 min. tour of the new Frick Environmental Center in Squirrel Hill at 2005 Beechwood Blvd. Reed Hoffmier will be our guide.  He plans to talk about:

  -History of Frick Park
  -Overview of Living Building Challenge/design challenges
  -Native plants
  -Solar Panels/rainwater collection
  -Fountain
  -Geothermal wells
  -interior features (Lighting, windows, reclaimed wood, rain veil, etc.)
  -rain ravine/storm water management
  -plant selection and genetic diversity
