Neighbors, <div><br></div><div>I am organzing an effort with Rick Swartz from Bloomfield-Garfield Corp. </div><div>to provide financial assistance to families that are in dire need.</div><div><br></div><div>Rick was an important advisor when I first organized the Highland Park CDC </div>
<div>in 1993, and, most importantly, is an intense advocate for the less fortunate.   </div><div><br></div><div>Rick works daily with families that face significant challenges. He has already identified </div><div>a family that needs help to avoid eviction. The matriarch of the family</div>
<div>is battling cancer that caused her to have to quit work. Yet, she is still trying to </div><div>provide for an adult brother, niece and nephew whose mother recently passed.  </div><div>This family needs approx. $250 a month to stay in their home. </div>
