Greetings,

FIOS triple play ( phone, tv, internet ) is on sale now, online, for $89.99 / month, plus taxes etc. locked in for 2 yrs.
Probably all told it will cost just under $105.00.

Google > FIOS availability ... and that will get you there.

I’ve had FIOS since December 2010 and the quality and reliability has been exceptional.
The rare 2 or 3 support calls I’ve had to make were fast, effective and the support reps. have been articulate and English speaking.
Down time was only TV related and needing to reset the set top box.
Now that I know how, I can do it myself, it’s a 3 minute wait and all is back to normal.
I’d guess I’ve had to reset 5 times since Dec. 2010. No big deal.

Phone quality, compared to old copper lines, is noticeably MUCH better.
The other perk is that I can view all calls, in and out, by logging into my online Verizon account, and also
I have options to block up to 20 incoming numbers to address the rare telemarketer calls that ignore “Do Not Call” lists.

TV quality, compared to Direct TV ( satellite ), is stunning!
The visual quality is much better, especially on the HD channels.

Internet speed compared to DSL is amazing. Average mid level DSL was 2.5 Mbps here.
My FIOS is 30 Mbps.
If any Comcast users want to check their speed and report back you can go to
http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ and select the Washington D.C. connection.
Note that Comcast internet is not a dedicated connection, like FIOS or DSL,
and speed will vary depending on the time of day, and consequent
amount of users in your are that are connected, so check during prime time and also off hours.

The included FIOS Wireless router is also very good.
When connected wireless:
I get 22 Mbps in the same room as the router,
between 6 and 10 in the worst room in the house, and always between 10 and sometimes 27 in other parts of the house.

Note that wireless connections are not as predictable and fast as hard wired, and that not all lap top
wireless hardware is equal. My older laptop would never get above 10 Mbps no matter where in the house it was.

The above mentioned sale is said to be 15 Mbps, you might end up with more,
but even so, that’s plenty fast to stream movies from Hulu.com.
I had no trouble with Hulu with my old DSL at 2.5.
