12/9/19 –Vehicle Theft in the 7200 block of Bennett St- A victim reported that his car had been missing since the end of November, possibly by a known suspect. The vehicle is described as a red ’07 Toyota Camry PA# KSC0919. (249918)
12/9/19 – Vehicle Theft in the 7000 block of Kedron St at 7:45 AM- A victim went outside to warm up his car, leaving the keys in it and running. When he returned a short time later, the car had been stolen. The vehicle is described as a copper colored ’17 Hyundai Santa-Fe PA # HXN1811. (249984)
12/11/19- Aggravated Assault in the 6800 block of Frankstown Ave at 8:30 PM- A victim reported that Raymond Quinlan, 36, of Homewood struck him in the back with a metal pipe. The victim did not suffer any serious injuries. Quinlan was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. (251814)
12/14/19-Theft in the 1000 block of Brushton Ave at 9:15 PM- A victim reported that she left her vehicle running while her friend stayed with the vehicle. When the victim came outside, her friend was gone, along with her vehicle. The victim's friend stated that he left the vehicle running, and got into another friend's vehicle, and that is apparently when the vehicle was stolen. The vehicle was recovered the next day, at a nearby location, unoccupied. (253956)
Larimer / Lincoln-Lemington
12/9/19 – Man shot near the corner of Larimer and Meadow St at 7:00 PM- A victim was walking on Larimer Ave when he was approached by 2 unknown males. The men became verbally confrontational and the encounter quickly escalated to a fight. At that time, one of the males pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the hand. The victim was driven to the hospital by a good Samaritan and is expected to recover. (250395)
12/10/19- Theft in the 100 block of Bakery Square- A victim reported that his green Scott Aspect 730 XL mountain bike was stolen from the Bakery Square parking garage, after the suspect cut a U-lock off his bike. The victim was able to recover his bike for a fee from a nearby bicycle shop where it had been sold. (250867)

12/10/19-Burglary in the 4800 block of Liberty Ave- A victim reported that he left his house around 1:00 PM, and when he returned at 10:00 PM, he discovered that a $2,000.00 pair of BOSE speakers were stolen from his living room. There were no signs of forced entry into the apartment. (251185)
12/11/19-Burglary in the 100 block of Roup Ave- A victim reported that her apartment had been broken into sometime between 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM. It appeared that entry was made by cutting a screen and forcing a window open. Only spare change was reported stolen. (254409)
12/11/19-Burglary in the 100 block of Roup Ave- A victim reported that her apartment had been broken into sometime between 2:30 PM and 12:30 AM. It appears that entry was made through a window, and only 3 rolls of quarters were reported stolen. (251918)
12/11/19-Burglary in the 5500 block of Broad St- A victim reported that she left her house around 5:00 PM, and when she returned 8:30 PM, she discovered that her bathroom window was fully open. It does not appear anything was stolen, but plants that were previously on the window ledge had been knocked to the ground. (251817)
12/13/19-Theft from Vehicle in the 100 block of North Fairmount St- A victim reported that a white Galaxy tablet with a black case was stolen from his vehicle sometime during the previous evening, possibly by a know suspect. (252905)
12/13/19-Theft in the 200 block of Taylor Ave- A victim reported that he had three packages stolen from his front porch between the hours of 1:00 PM and 6:45 PM. (253941)

12/9/19 – Vehicle Theft in the 600 block of Chislett St. A victim went outside to warm up her car around 7:00 AM, leaving the keys in it and running. When she returned a short time later, she discovered that her car had been stolen. The car is described as a silver ’19 Nissan Sentra PA# LBL-5749. (249972)
12/9/19-Theft from Vehicle in the 300 block of Amber St- A victim reported that sometime after 8:30 PM, her vehicle had been broken into, and $4.00 in change was stolen. (250943)
12/10/19- Theft of Vehicle in the 1100 block of Mellon St- A victim reported that her 2018 red Subaru Impreza PA # KHF2699 was stolen from it's parked space on the street sometime between 12/10 at 8:30 PM and 12/13 at 1035 AM. The vehicle had a valet key inside. (252884)
12/11/19-Theft in the 100 block of S Whitfield St- A victim reported that he locked his beige Kennendale mountain bike to a bike outside the ACE Hotel around 9:00 PM, and when he returned approximately one hour later, the bike was gone. (251969)
12/12/19- Theft from Vehicle in the 6300 block of St Marie St- A victim reported that his Springfield XDM 9mm pistol, serial no. MG996705 was stolen out of his unlocked vehicle sometime after 6:30 PM. (252818)
12/13/19-Burglary in the 6200 block of St Marie St-Two victims reported that they had numerous tools stolen from a house they were renovating sometime between 12/13/19 3:30 PM and 12/16/19 at 7:00 PM. (254919)
12/13/19- Burglary in the 5400 block of Baywood St- A victim reported that sometime between 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM, someone had entered her apartment through a kitchen window, knocking over several items. Although dresser drawers and closet doors were left open, nothing appeared to be stolen. (253267)

This Week's Notable Arrests
12/13/19- Receiving Stolen Property/Firearms Violations- At approximately 12:50 AM, Officers were near the intersection of N. Lang Ave and Frankstown Ave when they heard several gunshots. Officers then received a ShotSpotter notification for five gun shots in the 7100 block of Hermitage Street. Within the alert area, Officers observed Darrick Falls, 36, of Wilkinsburg and Chaz Mitchell, 29, of Homewood working on a car. As Officers approached the vehicle, they observed a gun in plain view with the hammer cocked in the fire position. Numerous shell casings were also found near the vehicle. Officers recovered two firearms, a Ruger .45 cal pistol which had been reported stolen, and a Taurus .40 cal PT140G2 pistol. Both males will be charged with possession of a stolen firearm, and Mitchell will be charged with additional firearms violations. (252670)
12/14/19-Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession with Intent to Deliver- At approximately 11:30 AM, Officers were on routine patrol on Washington Boulevard near Allegheny River Boulevard when they observed a vehicle traveling at an excessive rate of speed. When Officers stopped the vehicle near the intersection of Frankstown Avenue, Officers observed indications of illegal drug possession. Robert Whitley, 21, of the Hill District, was found to be in possession of 500 stamp bags of heroin, and over $800 in cash. Whitley will face felony drug possession charges. (253656)
