Dear Neighbors,

Thanks again for all who responded to the need for coats for parishioner and son.

It turns out that the woman in need is larger than a 2x and someone from the church has volunteered to buy material and make her a warm coat/cape as they have not been able to find anything that fits. If you would care to make a donation toward this end-a check can be made to Church of the Ascension with a memo that says Ann Teft (the pastor's name) /coat fund.

The address is 4729 Ellsworth Avenue , Pittsburgh PA.15213 or you can call 412-621-4361. Otherwise do not feel obligated, this was new information to me as of Sunday.

HOWEVER-for those of you who offered smaller sizes-please know that the EAST END COOPERATIVE MINISTRIES has a coat drive each winter where you can donate and also get a tax deduction.

They are located at 250 N. Highland Avenue , 15206 and if you want to call before making a drop off, their number is 412-361-5549. This is a credible , local operation that does good for ALL people in need.
