Hey, folks.

I set up something pretty cool at the Pittsburgh Public Market (Smallman Street, between 16th & 17th, in the Strip District), and was thinking some of you might be interested in it, and/or pass the information on to others:

A local author, Lillie Leonardi, is going to be here at the Market next Saturday, the 17th.  She was formerly a police officer, and then an FBI agent.  She volunteered to work at the Flight 93 crash site on & after September 11th, and has written a book about her experiences:  In the Shadow of a Badge:  A Spiritual Memoir.

She'll do a reading and Q & A session on that day from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm (I have the space booked for her until 1:00 in case it goes over.)  After that, she'll be doing book signings.  She is donating 15% of all proceeds from sales to the Flight 93 Memorial Fund.

I thought you all might find it to be an interesting program.  She's a pretty amazing woman.  I had lunch with her about 6 weeks ago to set all this up, and she was very open about answering questions about 9-11 in general (from a more "insider" perspective) and about her experiences with the flight 93 families, United Airlines, the recovery team and law enforcement.

Her website is:  http://lillieleonardi.com/

Thanks, all.  I hope you can make it, and I'd appreciate any passing-along of the info you could do!
