Highland Park Bridge Inspection Begins Monday

 

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing work to inspect the Highland Park Bridge (Route 1005) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will begin on Monday, Oct. 1, weather permitting.

 

Single lane closures and traffic shifts will occur on the bridge and connecting ramps as needed weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through late October.

 

The Highland Park Bridge spans the Allegheny River between Route 28 and Route 8. Crews from the Markosky Engineering Group and the Sofis Rigging Company will conduct the work.

 

Motorists are advised to use caution, be prepared for changing traffic patterns, and allow extra time when traveling through the area.
