The Highland Park Community Development Corporation is very pleased to invite the neighborhood to the kickoff this week of a tremendously exciting project many years in the making. Friday afternoon will mark the beginning of a new day on Bryant Street. We all know that Highland Park has the potential to have the best neighborhood commercial district in the region. While the street has some great businesses now, there are also significant gaps to fill. The neighborhood spoke to this issue by identifying the revitalization of Bryant Street as a priority in the Highland Park Community Plan of 2004, and is hungry to support a turnaround. Ten years of analysis, planning, acquisition, and design led by the Highland Park Community Development Corporation and some truly great partners results today in a team that shares a very solid vision. With your help, we are ready to put it into action on Friday.
