[Highland Park] Any good lilac pruners who can offer suggestions?

I have a lilac that was huge lilac that last year I chopped down to size late in the season. I knew it was the wrong time to prune it, but had to get it under control. Now that it is more manageable, and it is the right time fr pruning, I'm looking for some guidance as to what to prune out to help create a healthy, well blooming, and good sized plant. Anyone in the neighborhood who can offer such assistance? THANKS! Thomas Waters
