hi, am wondering if anyone is interested or knows someone who could do swim lessons with my four year old. the british swim school is all booked and I am having trouble reaching the YMCA. We would like to do lessons this summer and have passes to the city pools. any info would be great, thank you! Lizzie

Seeking daycare, nanny share, or babysitting recommendations

Hi neighbors, Do you send your kids to a daycare that you love? If so, please tell me about it! We are looking for a daycare for our 15-month-old toddler, ideally beginning August or this fall. We've been on several waitlists for a very, very long time, but there's a major crunch right now because of the pandemic and many centers aren't accepting new kids under 24 months. I'd really appreciate any recommendations you might have. Until daycare works out, we're looking for creative childcare solutions. If you might be interested in a nanny share (either as another family or as a nanny), please get in touch. Both of us parents are fully vaccinated. Finally, we would also be open to hiring a "mother's helper"-type position to watch our baby for 3 days a week while one of us works from a home office. Attorney who can help me obtain photo ID?

Hi all, Sometime during the pandemic I lost my current US passport. I’ve relied on it as my photo ID for the past couple of decades. Even though I’ve been a resident of PA since 2005 I’ve never had a state ID (non-driver) and I lost my social security card decades ago. Now, though, I’m in a bureaucratic black hole with no way out. PennDOT won’t issue me a state photo ID without a social security card. SSA won’t issue me a card without current valid photo ID. State dept will not issue a passport without valid photo ID (my older passport has an issue date more than 15 years in the past). Anyone know of an attorney who can help me out of this fix? I have pled my case with all three entities above and all three (SSA, PennDOT, and US Passport office) have met my ‘well, what SHOULD I do?’ with a shrug. I’ll add that I have certified copies of my birth certificate, marriage license, plus taxes, utility bills, and expired photo ID. Still not enough according to all of the office above.
