Gingerbread House EVENT DATES AND TIMES: December 4 (1:00 pm - 3:00 pm) EVENT COST: $30 Come create cute, cozy gingerbread houses out of clay! Kick off the winter season by building a gingerbread house that will never crumble. Learn to sculpt a gingerbread house out of toasty brown clay, and form colorful candy-themed decorations using various clay and surface design techniques. Each registration includes tools, glaze, and enough clay to make one gingerbread house. Union Project is committed to being accessible to all. The building is wheelchair accessible via the side door on Stanton Avenue, and an accessible parking spot is located just outside that door. Service animals are always welcome, and ASL interpretation can be provided on request. You will learn to slab build, coil build, and glaze your way to your very own ornaments. Multiple techniques will be demonstrated for you to explore. Once your ornaments have been fired in our kiln, you’ll have one-of-a-kind creations to give away or keep! This is a drop-in registration. Advanced registration is required to secure your space, but you may drop in anytime between 12pm and 3pm to create your ornament. Each registration is for one ornament. VERIZON without any warning, nor concertation installed 5G towers on telephone polls in our neighborhood, next to our homes. Their towers make a constant noise, like an huge vacuum cleaner in the air ; Some neighbors complained that they hear them with window closed, or they stop going in their yard. Is this right ? Also honest scientific research warn us about the toxicity of the high radio waves in 5G. It is toxic for humans (rats study show a lot of agitation among them) toxic for birds and insects. Showing Solidarity in the Wake of Anti-Semitic Crimes

Since posting our response to Monday's anti-Semitic crimes in Highland Park, many folks have reached out to the HPCC sharing their concern and asking for additional ways they can show their solidarity with Jewish neighbors. What a heartening response! To that end, the HPCC encourages people to put pictures of menorahs in their front windows to make the point that hate will not be tolerated in Highland Park. This effort was suggested by a neighbor who was inspired by another community's response when something similar happened, as described in the book, *The Christmas Menorahs: How a Town Fought Hate.* https://www.adl.org/education/educator-resources/childrens-literature/the-c… Paper menorahs can be purchased locally at Target. Oakland is having their first Shop Small Crawl tonight 4-7pm and tomorrow 11am-7pm at three locations in the area, Univesity, Hilton Garden Inn with over 15 Local Makers and creatives (Forbes Ave), Argyle Studio Pop Up Shop with over 35 local vendors (3608 Forbes Ave), and Maggie and Stellas Gift Shop (3925 Fifth Ave). My mother and I(Mellon Street) run Argyle Studio which is a proud Black-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Veteran-Owned Brand! Tonight we will have Threadbare Hard Cider doing a pop-up from 4-7 pm! We don't live in Highland Park anymore, switching to North Park. But we still love our HP community! We offer free furniture if anyone needs it. We have a shelving unit and a BESTA TV bench and wall cabinet (includes mounting rails). If you need it let me know, and we can arrange a pick up. (We can't deliver but free to come over and get it).
