Highland Park kids/parents, Join us tomorrow, APRIL 25th, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. for THE ANNUAL SPRING PARTY AT THE HIGHLAND PARK FARMHOUSE!! Volunteers are still very welcomed! 10:00 - 11:00 - Meet at the Farmhouse and participate in the Spring Redd Up in Highland Park. Parents must accompany small children. Gloves & trash bags provided. Helpers will receive a medal and an award for taking part in the clean up! 11:00 - 12:00 - Back to the Farmhouse for spring craft projects, Yo-Yo show and fun games like limbo or flying a kite or glider! [Highland Park] looking for 2 or 3 bedroom house to rent

Hello, I have a friend that lives in Stanton Heights who is currently looking for a house/apartment to rent and would like to stay in Stanton Heights or Highland Park. The house she is renting is going into foreclosure and she doesn't want to stick around and suddenly get kicked out. Her two year lease is up on May 31st and so she would like to find a new place by then. She is looking for a 2 to 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom place with a large enough dining room to accommodate her furniture. Centering Prayer leads us to a prayerful place of resting with God beyond thoughts, words, and emotions. Hi, My wife, daughter, and I currently live in a small duplex in Point Breeze. We're thinking about upgrading and we've heard good things about Highland Park (also looking in Point Breeze and Regent Square). My daughter is 10 months old and we hope to have a couple more. How family friendly is the neighborhood? Right now we live within 2 blocks of Frick Park. Having Highland Park nearby certainly is a positive, right? How safe is it? Really any information about HP would be welcome, including things like what you think of the school district vs private schools, how well are the roads maintained in the winter, etc. Anything would be appreciated. [Highland Park] Anyone have speedplay pedals that I could borrow for a few days?

I'm looking to find someone with speedplay clipless pedals that wouldn't mind me borrowing them for a few days. I'm currently training to participate in a 100 mile bike ride to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. As a cycling novice, I was encouraged to invest in some Keo Easy clipless pedals but have been having a difficult time getting clipped into them successfully. This makes riding a real nuisance, especially when I come to a stop and there's a hill in front me. I can never manage to clip into them in time to make the climb. So if someone could help me out, or knows someone who might be able to, I'd really appreciate it. I don't want to make the same mistake twice by paying for something that doesn't cut it for me. Ideally, I'd like to pick them up sometime the weekend so I can try them out before my long training ride on Saturday. I would be able to return them on Monday, April 27th. Thank you! St. Andrew's Adult Programs Announcement Our Winter/Spring 2009 Adult Programs series, "Go Forth into the World," continues this Sunday afternoon, April 26, in Brooks Hall at 4 p.m. Our speaker will be Mr. Bob Sampson, retired corporate executive and active community leader. The theme of the series focuses on conversational and personal explorations of how the beliefs and values rooted in our identity as Christian people shape and affect the concerns of our "everyday" life--at work or school, in our homes and families. We continue to look at questions of vocation and ethics and interpersonal relationships . . . the daily "stuff" of who we are and what we do. Hope all will be able to mark calendars now and plan to attend this much-anticipated event in our series.
