"We're still assessing the damage from last night's storms, but we know there are residents who need our help," said Onorato. "Today, I have reinstated the residential furnace and hot water heater program so we can help people get back on their feet during these tough economic times." Allegheny County will repair or replace furnaces and hot water heaters in residences where the existing units were damaged or destroyed by flood waters. Residents who earn up to 80 percent of the area median income are eligible for the program (see guidelines). Allegheny County residents may apply for the free program by calling 412-350-3723 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, or by e-mailing their name and phone number to furnace(a)alleghenycounty.us. Hi all. I have been getting hit with multiple online store account registrations opened fraudulently in my name. Someone ordered a laptop in my name, 300+ dollars of something from an online shoestore, etc. So far nothing has gone through but at the rate that I recently receiving them it is only a matter of time before one actually hits my cards or comes back to me saying I owe the amount. I have filed a police report over a week ago but have received no response. Does anyone have a direct contact number for some one who might give a crap about this sort of thing going on. This involves internet fraud and possibly illegal pharmaceuticals so I am not sure why I haven't gotten a police response. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Chris Hample

[Highland Park] RE: Stolen Mountain Bike

I have gotten quite a number of requests as to where we live and just wanted to let everyone know we live on Bryant Court. The dead end street next to Tazza D'Oro. I wish I could give more details on the bike but he didn't have many beyond it is a mountian bike. It did have a Tazza D'Oro water bottle on it but that is all I remember as it wasn't my bike. It was a pretty bold move to do this and it sounds a lot like these kids who others have reported as there is no reason to go down our street unless you live there. Our dogwalker was going to report it to the police as it was his bike.
