Howdy Folks, Cause we all big city n'at...There will be a film crew here on Thursday 1/26/2023 filming scenes for the second season of American Rust with Jeff Daniels. They will set up after the store closes on Wednesday night and be here for roughly 24 hours through Thursday. The store will only be closed Thursday. This was kind of a once in a lifetime chance so we took it. Hopefully everyone understands........Thanks for all your support....... Good News (sort of) re Peoples gas line work in HP

Hi, All, Sometime Friday, the Peoples Gas cones and no-parking signs disappeared from Jackson and Euclid (except for one next to the Peoples port-a-potty). Then Monday, the port-a-potty disappeared. I called Peoples to see if all that meant Peoples wasn’t going to do gas line upgrade work in HP during the winter months. The very nice customer service rep said it sounded like it, but she needed to check with the supervisor. She called back today to say that the supervisor told her that Peoples "couldn’t do anything in a 4-block area from Hays St. to Jackson until after the water company finishes lining sewers and pouring concrete, and there was no specific date for when that would be done." Soooo upgrading gas pipes in HP in the winter might be over or it might not be. I’ll let you know if anything relevant happens in future weeks. I think it continues to be important to let Peoples and the PA PUC (Public Utility Commission) know that a number of people are concerned about Peoples doing non-emergency gas line upgrades in winter.
