Greetings, I'd like to get any un needed or even broken computer mice that anyone might have that have a functional wheel, as long as the wheel still spins ok. ( see pic ) It's for a do it yourself project, and some mice have a specific mounting system for the wheel that I need to find, but I haven't yet found, in any of my old wheel mice. So, as many as possible is good. I suspect I'll eventually find the right one. Thank you! Also, any old roller blades with good wheels, or skateboards with good wheels would be very welcome. To Give Away: Love Seat: Green brocade cloth upholstery, no holes or rips but the back legs have been replaced with pieces of wood (which is why it has to leave--they're scratching our wood floor), comes with several large matching throw pillows. [Highland Park] Homeschooling Co-op Classes

Hi! The homeschooling cooperative that I am a member of has opened up their enrollment for the Fall term! This is a great group which rents out the Wilkinsburg community center on Wednesdays, for 4 class periods plus a long lunch/recess time. There is no minimum number of classes that you need to sign up for, and there at least 2 choices for each age from 4-teens. Hello, Highland Parkers. My cat needs some dental work, and I'm looking for veterinarian recommendations. Specifically, I think my elder cat needs to have a tooth or two extracted, and the rest of her teeth cleaned. If anyone out there can give me some feedback on their experiences with cat dental work, I'd appreciate it. Hello All, I had many responses to my email regarding the PWSA's role in preventing the opening of Park Bruge. Thank you for your interest and support. Below, please find my responses to some of the questions that I have been asked. The issue is that when it rains, the main sewer line which runs down Bryant street backflows into the property. The defective sewer system causes similar backups in a number of other properties on Bryant Street. I myself have seen (and videotaped) *sewage overflowing from the manholes* in the center of Bryant street. I've uploaded that video to youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlVJ4iSvnh8 The PWSA (again, where Patrick Dowd sits as a board member) has been aware of the problems on Bryant since (at the very latest) June 2009. Even when presented with absolutely undeniable photographic evidence, http://picasaweb.google.com/104307245073776455935/Sewer# still they push off blame to the property owners, saying that the problem lies in the lateral line connecting to the main sewer. Watch the video - it's obvious where the problem lies. It is my understanding that The Highland Park Community Development Corp. (owners of the building) and other Bryant Street property owners did, in fact, have their lateral lines fixed (they were collapsed). Ironically, this repair allows the sewage to flow more freely from the main line into the properties so now the problem is even worse! In answer to the query, "What can we do to expedite this process?" I would recommend forwarding this email chain (with the youtube and picasa picture album links therein) to PWSA members, HP supporters, City Representatives/Officials, contacts at the Environmental Protection Agency, etc. I will do the same and hopefully, we can force this work to be done before it's too late. [Highland Park] Woodwork strippers - need recommendations

List, I hired Strip-Ease on Kennywood Boulevard because they did a great job stripping doors in the past. They were supposed to strip the woodwork in my house, including doors, spindles, stairwells, etc. Rich Huber quit mid-job (hasn't been there in a year) and now I'm stuck with a mess and a lawyer bill. Even after numerous requests and promises on his part, he won't complete the work. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. This work include a small amount of floor stripping (landing and hallway), stairs, doors and trim. Most of the stripping work is done, needs to be wiped down and cleaned up, polyurethaned, sanded and finished. Will post whatever recommendations I get. Thanks,Bonnie.
