I am looking for some help to promote a new project of mine, called spotmouth. I am hoping if you have some photos of Highland Park that you can share, or know of some businesses in Highland Park you could let met know or post them to the site. I am also open for suggestions on how to improve things. The site is http://www.spotmouth.com and there is mobile site, iphone app and android app. Thanks, Phillip About my project... Foursquare, Gowalla, Facebook Places... Geo-Location has taken off and is fast becoming mainstream. However, the proverbial "archilles heel" for these big players is that while they are focused upon local geography, they lack the local voice and initiative of the communities they are serving. Spotmouth is a new player that is different from all the rest because it stakeholders come from the community it serves. What is spotmouth? spotmouth provides the businesses (or any spot i.e. park), a "spot page" with photos, description, hours and a free "cms-driven" website, free coupons,free event listings and more to come... Users of spotmouth can access this information by using their computer or "smart phone" and easily retrieve/find all this information. Users can also "mark" spots by uploading photos (from their phones or computer) and writing on the spots. Fun Contest Ideas to promote your community and businesses. Spotmouth supports "hiding" of items that are unlocked by a secret key. One could run a "treasure hunt" using spotmouth that would introduce users to new interesting things in your community. How does it work? A local community member (this could be you), decides that they want to be involved. They contact me and we get together, go over how things work, etc... You then visit local businesses, parks, attractions meeting them, taking photos, documenting your community. As spotmouth adoption goes, advertising and marketing opportunities will come and you will earn a RESIDUAL 50% commission on the community that you serve and promote. What you are doing is building your very own business! Spotmouth.com is revolutionary in that it is striving to the be first of its kind, a web company whose success will be in hands of it's local community owners. Spotmouth provides a brand and a scalable technological infrastructure that can grow. There are no fees to become part of spotmouth.com, however, there will be sweat and hard work involved. [Highland Park] East End/East Liberty Historical Society

This is a good time to become a member of our local history group, which focuses on Pittsburgh’s East End including the Highland Park community. Membership is $20 per year, which provides four quarterly bulletins each featuring the history of a prominent person, building, or institution in the East End. You will also be invited to special events that take place throughout the year. Hi, I have a bunch of candle holders (some of them will need to be cleaned, they have wax) candles: 4 small crafted, very unique and pretty; 1 large honeycomb pink knickknacks: Colombia souvenir, a pretty ceramic pink dove, 2 small statuettes Incense sticks, several, diverse fragrances I need to get rid of these, I have no use for them and maybe someone might enjoy them more than me. Hi, I have a few boxes of household items that were my start up things when I was a student. They have been in the basement for almost 3 years so they will need a good scrubbing. They are not glamorous but they are functional and in OK to decent shape. 1 wood knife stand 3 plastic microwaveable containers 2 plastic pitchers 1 pancake size pan 3 mugs 1 glass salad bowl several small glass jars 5 plastic cups 12 glass glasses (2 16 o z., 10 8 oz.)
