Hello Fellow Neighbors, The Dilworth Elementary PTA will be running an Easter Chocolates fundraiser with *Joe Clark Candies *this year. *Joe Clark Candies is a local family owned chocolate factory that has been making delicious chocolates since 1937.* The profit from this fundraiser will go towards Dilworth’s *End of the Year* school picnic to Camp Guyasuta for the students. Since this is the time of year when everyone is looking for that unique gift to give, it is a great opportunity to raise money to help with our goal. [Highland Park] New Spanish and yoga classes beginning this week at Union Project!

Union Project is excited to introduce several new classes, two that begin this week! Annie Thibadeau (thibada(a)gmail.com) is teaching a *yoga and meditation class * meeting Thursdays from 6:00-7:00 pm in the atrium. She welcomes all ages and experience levels to her donation-based class. Annie, who has been exposed to many types of yoga, says her style of yoga falls under the umbrella of Hatha; it has elements of Kundalini and there is a vinyasa flow aspect, but poses are held for several breaths. Her class focuses on loving your body and bringing balance to your life through yoga. Nicole Burtch (coleycue(a)gmail.com) will be teaching three Spanish Classes: - An *Adult Conversation Class*, geared for beginners with little or no Spanish experience, will meet in the board room *8 Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30 pm, March 16th through May 4th*. The class will be primarily conversation-oriented; however, it will also include vocabulary introduction, pronunciation and grammar taught in context. The class will focus on important topics in every-day life in a Spanish-speaking environment, at a basic level. Lots of role-playing, interaction and individual attention in this small group format. Vocabulary lists provided for each lesson. $12/class session. - A* Children's Spanish Class* (ages 4-8) will meet for* four Saturdays, April 2 through April 23, from 2:30-3:30 pm in the board room*. Through theme-based literature, puppets and songs, children will learn Spanish vocabulary, basic sentence creation, question answering and more! Each lesson is structured and includes a variety of introductory, pre-reading, post-reading and closure activities in Spanish. Children will also learn basic greetings and introductions, weather, calendar/date, numbers and alphabet in each lesson. Vocabulary lists and song lyrics provided so Spanish can be practiced at home! $10/session. - A *Spanish Enrichment Class* (ages 8+), will meet in the board room from* 5-6 pm for 8 Mondays, April 4 through May 23*. This class provides an introduction to the Spanish language and culture to upper elementary, middle and high school students who do not have Spanish classes at school or who would like to supplement the Spanish that is already available to them. Through a variety of speaking, listening, reading and writing activities, students will learn the essentials of Spanish and create a solid foundation for further language study. The focus is to keep the class fun and the learning large! $10/session. *Do you have an idea or skill you would like to share? But Tokyo that I live was not terrible as the northeastern area of Japan. I, all of my family, my friends was OK. The day, I was taking pictures just near Tokyo bay. A tsunami warning was announced after a huge earthquake was settled. Anyway, I had to escape. But All Tokyo was full of a great traffic jam at all. All railroads stopped, and expressways were closed. Telephone communication was not established. I thanked for being a cyclist on that day! My home was only 20 miles away, but took 4 hours to get my home. There was so many people could not go home. Market was all packed. I ride for couples miles away to get waters, foods, and all we needs to survive. For my family, for my parents, and for neighbors. I found a high school boy at station. He was not able to get home. I asked him to stay my home, and he did. So, things are not ended. Japanese government says, another big earthquake (mag 7.0 or more!) will attack in another 3days.Tomorrow, we will meet 6 hours blackout as planed. We got ready for them. Anyway, I’m fine so far. And get ready for another day.*

We were just delivered a truckful of belongings from our storage unit, many of which do not fit in our apartment. As of now (and there will be many things to follow, I'm certain), we have the following items for sale or free: * small DVD player - $5 * a bunch of VHS tapes (inquire about titles; most are pretty decent good films) - FREE * box full of white votive candles in glass jars from Ikea - $2 * wooden R.H. Phillips three-sheved wine rack - $5 * rustic wood and metal low shelf set - $5 * wooden drafting table (very ink-stained but in otherwise good condition) - $10 * antique Lincoln rocker that was damaged in the move. Could be fixed , but the wooden arm and part of the leg split. Cushioned upholstered seat, back, and arm rests.
