PennDOT - District 11 News *Northbound Route 28 Lane Restrictions Continue Monday in Aspinwall* *Pittsburgh, PA* – PennDOT District 11 is announcing lane restrictions on northbound Route 28 in Aspinwall Borough, Allegheny County, will continue Monday, April 24 weather permitting. A single-lane restriction will occur on northbound Route 28 between the Highland Park Bridge and Delafield Avenue weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. through mid-May. Crews will conduct sound barrier work. Please allow extra time and use caution when traveling through the work zone. To help keep motorists informed as work progresses, PennDOT has created an email distribution list for Route 28 traffic advisories and construction updates. Enroll by sending email addresses to stcowan(a)pa.gov. Please write “Subscribe – Route 28” in the subject line. Update on dental care for refugee family

Hello neighbors, Kevin and I were blown away by the outpouring of assistance we received to help guide our dental adventures. Thank you all so much. In less than 24 hours, we received more than 40 pieces of advice and offers to help, many directly from dentists, and a Pitt Dental administrator called and guided me through the process we will eventually go through for the more complicated bit of dentistry. It has been incredible. I am working my way the different offers and suggestions. I think we have found a solution and are in the process of carrying it out. Hopefully soon I will be able to send another update that reports that everyone has received the care they needed! Looking for Artists and Food Vendors

Highland Park's Annual Bryant Street Festival is coming up ! The festival is taking place from Noon to 5 pm on Sunday June 4th. We are Looking for Artists and Food Vendors This annual street fair is sponsored by the Highland Park Community Council and takes place on Bryant Street between Highland and N. St Clair streets. The event includes live musical performances, food vendors, artists selling their work, and hands-on activities. We are looking for artists or crafters from the neighborhood who would like to participate by performing on stage, demonstrating or selling arts/crafts, or showing off what you do. Be creative! We are open to ideas. There is Two spots open for a stage performer (about one hour), but plenty of space for vendors. We also need volunteers for setting up and taking down the event. It will probably be about an hour for each part. We can really use your help! If you are interested in joining us or if you have any questions contact Justin Bhagat at bryantstreetfestival(a)gmail.com Everyone who is not participating is encouraged to come to the festival for music, browsing the vendors' wares, and /meeting/visiting with neighbors.
