[Highland Park] Break Ins on Highland Avenue

FYI Monday evening ( sometime after 2:30am and before 6:00am) at least 3 non attached garages were vandalized. A crow bar was used to break the garage windows.... car windows were broken out, door frames damaged, lawn mowers and other lawn equipment was taken, as well as bicylces and a variety of other items. If you notice any strangers hanging around or "casing" areas , PLEASE call the police. The crime unit came and they did take fingerprints and DNA.

[Highland Park] URGENT: Lost Dog Found!!

On Tuesday at 3:00pm I was walking my dog on Elgin and a man drove up with a large dog in the back (looked like a light colored golden retriever or great pyrenees?) looking for the dog's owner. The dog was friendly and appeared well cared for but had no tags. The man who found him is working construction on a house at 731 N. St Clair for the afternoon and will keep the dog there as long as he can before needing to call animal control.
