"Highland Park" Free international film festival this weekend at Pitt

Dear friends and neighbors, I founded 5 years ago in South Carolina a film festival about cultural heritage and archeology called Arkhaios, which features beautiful, international, award-winning films. I just returned this week from the 5-year anniversary festival in South Carolina! Having settled in Pittsburgh earlier this year, next to my kids and grand-kids, I will be showing a selection of the films this weekend at the Frick Fine Arts Building on Pitt campus. The format is a combination of lectures by Pitt professors and graduate students, followed by the films which received the Arkhaios awards last week. Attached is the program of the lectures and the schedule of the films. Also included is the synopsis of the films. We hope you will join us Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon and evening. Hoagie sale - Obama Marching Band!

Hi neighbors - It's that time of year again - hoagie time! Obama's marching band is having its annual hoagie sale. Now taking orders through November 8th (when money is due) for Triangle Grill hoagies, $8/hoagie. Delivery on November 15th. Choose from corned beef, turkey, Italian, vegetarian, or roast beef, all with or without onion. Please email me here or let us know when you'd like our cymbalist to stop by and take your order. ISO shed for bicycle

Hi neighbors, I know this might be a long shot, but I'm looking for some kind of locking shed or storage locker to protect one bicycle (adult size) from the elements this winter. Will pay any fair price. Indoor/basement storage is not an option for me, and my poor bike is currently locked to a railing, 26 stairs above street level, and getting rained on :( I would love to have it on street level and protected. Greetings! May you enjoy this wonderful fall day! The cool temperature and gentle wind tomorrow morning sound a bit chilly for our outdoor yoga practice. We will meet indoors for our Tuesday morning session this week. Enjoy a yoga flow which includes gentle warmups, stretching, strengthening and balancing poses. What a lovely way to begin your day! All are welcome! Tuesday yoga class will meet at 8 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church 5401 Centre Ave. Shadyside 15232. Yoga class will meet in the Fellowship Hall (follow the signs for yoga).
