We’ve discovered a cat with at least two kittens that seem to be residing under our deck. I think they’ve been here a while because someone mentioned seeing a baby cat here a few weeks back now. They are all very shy, I don’t see a collar on the adult cat, presumably mom. I’ve set out tuna and water and gotten the best photos I could manage (very shy!). My husband has severe cat allergies so we won’t be trying to take them into our home, but I’ll keep water out for them. Oh! Just saw mom cat nab a mouse or bird or something in my garden and take it under the deck. She seems to be doing just fine! Anyway, if you think she might be yours, let me know. I’ll try animal control on Monday if I can’t locate the owner. Allison

Can anyone use a bottle of lamp oil OR tell me how to dispose of responsibly? I haven’t been able to find any information on that online and I don’t want to put in with garbage or pour down drain. It’s a very old bottle - I just need to get rid of it. Thanks Jamie

July 5th Porch Concerts, 7 - 8 pm

Hello Neighbors, This week the County issued a new order limiting gatherings to 25 and encouraging people to say at home and not travel. We are still having porch concerts this weekend as typically there are fewer than 25 people attending each performance at any time, and they are outside where the risk of transmission is less. However, we continue to ask everyone who attends to wear masks and stay at least 6 feet apart from people not from your household. Looking forward, if we go into the red again and/or if a stay-at-home order goes into effect, we will be forced to cancel the concerts. Hopefully people will wash hands frequently; stay home if they are high-risk, have tested positive, are showing symptoms, or have been exposed to someone with Covid; avoid large gatherings; wear masks in public when social distancing isn't feasible; and take other measures public health officials are recommending to avoid the spread of Covid. Preventing infection rates from rising is a community effort. For those interested in and comfortable with going out on Sunday evening,we have five performers/groups who are generously offering to share their music with you, including two new performers. Many thanks! *New this week!* Oak Tree Baroque Trio 951 Wellesley Road. This trio includes three members of the Pittsburgh Symphony: Max Blair and Kyle Mustain, oboes, and David Sogg, bassoon.
