2 small terrier looking dog seen no collar Bryant St

Hello Everyone, at 4:30 I saw two small terrier like dogs, grayish-beige in color, slightly curly fur, no collar. This was on Bryant at Negley. The dogs kept walking toward King Ave. I wanted to try to nab them or give them water but they kept on with their journey in this heat. Nanci 5500 block Bryant.

This is a message from Allegheny Alerts. ACHD has preliminary information that all three ozone monitors in the county (Harrison, Lawrenceville and South Fayette) had an exceedance of the 8-hour NAAQS (National Ambient Air Quality Standards) on Monday, July 6. The 8-hour standard is .70 parts per million. Harrison registered .74 and both Lawrenceville and South Fayette registered .71. This is the first exceedance at a county ozone monitor since 7/10/2018. There were no such exceedances in 2019. Ozone is overwhelmingly weather dependent, and exceedances are likely during periods of high temperatures and no precipitation, which we’ve had across the region over the past week. Given the current forecast there may be additional ozone exceedances this week. Higher concentrations of ozone may cause breathing problems for the elderly, children, pregnant women and people with heart or respiratory disease. We encourage residents to view our Air Quality Dashboard ( http://bit.ly/2LJ6xv9) for the latest ozone levels and remind the public to protect themselves and to help reduce air pollution by voluntarily limiting pollution-producing activities such as: • Limit daytime driving. Combine trips when possible. • Don’t refuel. If you must, do so after 7 p.m. • Postpone mowing the lawn until after 7 p.m. • Save energy. Wash dishes and clothes with full loads. • Keep window shades/blinds closed during the day to cut down on air conditioning. Please keep Cats indoors

Hi neighbors. A few weeks ago, we found a chipmunk sliced in half in our front yard. 😫😢😭 Today, it was a baby bunny. 😭😭😭 I have a hunch the culprit is a large gray and white cat that started showing up in our yard recently and that we found threatening a cardinal’s nest a couple weeks ago. Give wildlife a chance and please keep your cats indoors. This is in the Heberton-Hampton-DeVictor area. Respectfully, Liz
