Looking for home wireless networking consult and assistance

We recently updated our Verizon FIOS router to have better speeds and connectivity, and we do through much of our home, but the new network doesn’t reach upstairs well. We added a WiFi repeater, but still unhappy with the coverage and speed. A friend suggested a mesh network, which both makes sense and seems too complicated fir me to sort out. Not even sure that is possible with our router. While I’m good at some tech, my network and wireless knowledge is pretty small. So looking for someone, happy to pay, for expertise at getting our house-wide network working as well and fast and stable as possible.
