My sister asked me to post this, she's worried about this little dude. Seems to be hanging around on Portland and on Negley in the block between Jackson and Wellesley. He is frequently on her porch and she's been leaving a little food for him. She says he's friendly and not neutered, probably around a year old. If you recognize him, let me know. We would love to reunite him with his people, especially since it's going to be so cold.

Petitions for Breonna's Law and to end solitary confinement

Hello neighbors, I'll be heading out again this coming Saturday to collect signatures for the petitions to get Breonna's Law ending solitary confinement on the ballot for May. I'll be out starting at about 1pm (Saturday, February 6th). *Please e-mail me (erinmarie.williams(a)gmail.com <erinmarie.williams(a)gmail.com>) if you would like to sign (be sure to include your address).* My apologies if I missed you last Saturday. It took me a bit longer to get around than I anticipated. The important bits of my original message are copied below. The Alliance for Police Accountability is gathering signatures to get initiatives for the passage of Breonna's Law (ending no-knock warrants) and to stop solitary confinement (in the AGH County jail) on the May ballots (you can read more about it here: https://apa-pgh.org/ballot/) I will be gathering signatures for this effort on Saturday, February 6th starting at 1pm. EVENT DATES AND TIMES: February 14 (7:00 pm - 9:00 pm) EVENT COST: $35 Spend Valentine’s Day with a virtual and unique romantic clay date! Grab a date or COVID-bubble-buddy for two hours of fun with clay. While you sip on wine or other preferred beverage, join our instructor on a video call and pretend to be Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore in Ghost and work together on ceramic hand-building projects to commemorate your affection. Clay, tools, and firing costs for one item are included in the fee. Each participant will be able to pick up a kit prior to the workshop and then bring their finished art back to be fired.
