Oak wood?

Hi neighbors, We are unfortunately having to cut down a once majestic (and now completely dead) 100+ year oak tree. We’ve done everything possible to save it, but it’s now clear that the tree is beyond saving. We are currently getting bids for tree removal, but we’re hoping to keep a small potion of our beloved tree as a memento. We are looking for a person/company who might be able to salvage some of the wood and turn it into usable floor boards, etc (it’s the same type of hardwood that runs throughout our house) as it would be a nice sentimental reminder of the tree going forward. There will be three virtual Capital Budget Forums focusing on different types of capital projects held with department leaders so that residents can learn more about department priorities, submit feedback, and ask questions.
