Yogurt containers and plastic tubs are NOT accepted for recycling ! The city printed the calendar flyer, but then the recycling facility doesn’t have the correct machines. Thanks to neighbor Sherry who called the city to double check. Recycling options for # 5 plastic that I know about: Michael Brothers on Hoffman Rd. Reimagined Recycling check FB.

*HIGHLAND PARK GARDEN CLUB APRIL PROGRAM:* *THURSDAY, APRIL 24, 11 AM. * *Please RSVP by Monday, April 21 if you want to attend.* *FIELD TRIP: **A TOUR OF THE PITTSBURGH BOTANICAL GARDEN* (Rain or Shine - please prepare accordingly) Let's visit the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden in Oakdale! We'll take a docent-led tour where we will learn how the founding members cleaned up a toxic mine dumping ground and turned it into a lovely forest and gardens. The pond has a fascinating filtering system which continues to remove toxins from the underground water source. The pond is surrounded by cherry trees which may be in bloom for our visit. The tour is open to HPGC nonmembers, but spots are limited.
