The Hart family (Chris, Lorien, Abby, and Jonah) have lived in Highland Park for Abby and Jonah’s whole lives and are loved by the Highland Park village. Last October, after a year-long bout with Glioblastoma (he punched that sucker so hard!) and a year-long adventure living life to its fullest, Jonah passed and, along with friends and family from all over, Highland Park neighbors held the Harts and celebrated the #jonahmagic that he brought to all of us. Glioblastoma is a *&$”!* and cancer is a thief. All proceeds from the event will support programs at Cancer Bridges <https://cancerbridges.org/>, including grief support, support groups, short-term counseling and more. Cancer Bridges is dedicated to providing comprehensive support services to individuals and families affected by cancer. Your participation in the run or walk will contribute to funding vital resources, counseling sessions, and support groups tailored to help individuals cope with the emotional challenges of losing a loved one to cancer. Greetings, lovely neighbors - I hope this finds you well and in good spirits! I am in need of someone to help with a bathroom renovation/restoration, and was hoping you could send your recommendations, please. I'm looking for someone who has mad tiling skills. Someone who can handle 90 year old plaster ceilings, possibly frightening wiring, mysterious plumbing - A sort of “Old House Whisperer” with the constitution for tackling the joyous idiosyncrasies involved in this type of work. I still have a bunch of seedlings of the following varieties: Beefsteak tomato: Kellogg's breakfast, Oregon Spring, Rutgers Cherry tomato: Gardener's sweetness Paste (roma-type) tomato: Plate de Haiti, Kara's Market Cabbage: Frigga, Murdoc, Primero, Violet of Venice, Golden acre Kale: dinosaur, dwarf siberian, thousandhead, winterbor Collards Endive (frisée) Various lettuces, both individually and as gardens. Flowers: tri-colored salvia, yarrow (perennial) Lots more to follow in about 2 weeks, including many varieties of eggplant and peppers! Most plants are only 2 to $3, with some of the perennials or pots with multiple plants at $4 to $10. I take cash, check, venmo, zelle, paypal, credit card.
