Fellow Highlanders, Are you retired and wish to contribute a few flexible hours a week from home to a cultural and educational project ? The Arkhaios Cultural Heritage and Archaeology Film Festival is looking for several volunteers to perform light functions related to the making of the festival. Arkhaios is a local (off Negley) non-profit, in its 12th year of operations, managed by volunteers producing the Arkhaios online and in-person Film Festivals (see attached). The diverse functions require the use of a computer and basic tools: online researches, creating distribution lists in Mailchimp, email communications with archaeology chapters, museums, filmmakers and producers, films registration. Other functions include posting on Facebook, updating website, creating marketing materials, press releases, posters. Of special interest is someone with expertise in social media. If you have a background in archaeology, history or filmmaking, more specific functionsinclude the review and grading of registered films, and managing film screening to organizations.
