Thank you to all who responded. I was able to find someone who has both a walker and commode chair to lend. However, I forgot to mention in my previous message that I'm looking for a wheelchair to borrow as well. I'm not entirely certain what will work best for my sister. I feel so fortunate we have this listserv and such helpful neighbors! Rob

My sister is going to be visiting for the holidays and her mobility is extremely limited due to a cracked pelvis (which, conveniently, just occurred today). I'm in search of a walker and a commode chair. Does anyone have either of these items that I might be able to borrow for a week or two (starting tomorrow)? Thanks! Rob

Gold Star Memorial Monument

My name is Rad Sellner, and I've been a resident of the Highland Park community for over 23 years. On 9/11/2016, my family's life changed forever when we lost my son, who was serving on active duty in the United States Army. Over the past few months, I have been working to put together a committee to partner with the Woody Williams Foundation to erect a Gold Star Family Monument Memorial in Pittsburgh. I am incredibly honored to be working with the Woody Williams Foundation and to bring such a meaningful monument to a great city like Pittsburgh. Hello - My husband found this box on the retaining wall in front of our house on Mellon. We suspect it was stolen and discarded once someone realized the contents were not what they were hoping for.
