Our son attends this amazing school in Friendship. The director Melissa Hankins is looking to fill the below position as well as a teacher position for 3-4 year olds. The position would require the employee to work approximately 9:30am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday during the school year. Arsenal Family & Children's Center is a non-profit center accredited by NAEYC and a Keystone Star 4 facility. Arsenal's mission is to promote and be an advocate for the healthy development of young children. Pay would be between $12-14 per hour. Essential Functions: *Maintaining the philosophy and mission of AFCC * Maintaining the health and safety standards of the Center *Assisting in classrooms as needed *Preparing daily snacks and lunches for classrooms *Shopping for food and supplies for the programs *Maintaining cooperative relationships with the program staff *Following all policies and procedures stated in the Staff Handbook. *Maintaining knowledge of and implementing the guidelines and standards set by NAEYC and Keystone Stars. *Professional Development as needed *Performing additional duties as necessary Requirements: Must have high school diploma Minimum two years experience in an Early Childhood setting or CDA preferred. Must have clearances (FBI/Child Abuse/ Criminal Background/NSOR), current physical and TB test. Flute teacher

My son's former flute teacher moved out of town this summer and we are looking for a new flute teacher. He's in 5th grade and has been playing for 4 years. We would like a teacher for one 45-minute lesson a week. We would prefer a teacher that is able to come to our home, but we would be willing to travel to an east end location. Free Event: Sacred Spaces Tour

Come explore the "City of Churches" (historic Wilkinsburg) during the Music in Sacred Spaces tour, which will be held on Saturday, September 9th. This event is free and open to the public, and is hosted by the Center for Civic Arts in partnership with Preservation Pittsburgh. It begins at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church at 10:00am, and offers an opportunity to view the inside of a series of churches, learn about the history of each, and hear a musical performance in each space. looking for a mason

Mason wanted to rebuild a collapsed section of cinder block wall that is about 11 feet wide and 8 feet high. Around 200 blocks. I am clearing down to the undamaged section now. Fixing an old garage, not fancy construction. Located in Larimer neighborhood. Willing to assist unless you prefer your own guys. Willing to scaffold, etc. depending on your preference. Subject ISO a handyperson for a VERY SMALL job (maybe half an hour?) Hi, I am looking for someone to hang my battery ring doorbell on a concrete wall. No wiring required, just drill a few holes. I had paid a contractor an extra $15 after he finished a bigger job, and he was supposed to come back and do it, and he disappeared. I would appreciate it if someone from the neighborhood could do it for $15 as I am already out the first $15, and your travel is minimal.
