Hello neighbors! Your local primary care doc here with another fun upcoming cooking workshop. If we haven’t met, I opened up a wellness studio --Rebel Wellness (www.rebelsinwellness.com) -- in January on South Highland Avenue. We have personal training, group fitness, yoga, and a plant-based teaching kitchen where I lead culinary medicine workshops. Our next culinary medicine workshop at the studio is Saturday August 26th from 4-6 pm for Kids in the Kitchen! We welcome parents/guardians and children to learn how to cook 6 tried and true, kid-approved plant based lunch recipes just in time for back to school. Good morning! Our restaurant is hiring for the following positions: Part time bartender: Thursday-Sunday starting at 3:30. Great PT job for students, someone looking for a side-job. Some bartending experience a plus. Part time host/hostess: Thursday-Sunday starting at 4:00 to around 9:00. Duties include seating customers, taking and monitoring reservations, some supporting of servers. Also a great job for students. Servers: Thursday -Sunday, can work some or all of the days. Found orange cat on Portland St close to Hampton (and Negley)

Good morning! I saw an orange cat in my driveway on Wednesday morning, and it ran to the street as I was pulling my car out of our garage. This morning I heard a mew from our back door, thought one of our cats was looking out at something interesting, and was surprised to see the same orange cat asking to be let inside. I'd guess the cat is less than a year old, maybe eight to ten months, but it's hard to be sure whether it's thin due to adolescence or due to a street diet. It's cute and friendly, and I intend to take it to a shelter to see if it has a chip, but wanted to ask whether anyone knows if this kitty has a home close by -- or if it doesn't have any identification, whether anyone wants a cute orange cat instead of me taking it to Humane Animal Rescue. (I don't have any availability this morning to try to get it into a cat carrier and have it checked for a microchip, hence giving a decent meal of cat treats to make sure it'll come back 😸) Thank you!
