Hi neighbors, I work for a local non-profit, Haiti H2O: Hope to Opportunity. We invest in Haitian-led solutions for remote villages through construction, agriculture, healthcare, and micro-business projects. A young man in Haiti is learning photography and takes pictures and videos for us. We are grateful since we have not been able to travel to see our partners in Haiti since 2018. He does a wonderful job but could use a new camera. If you have a digital camera sitting around your house unused, or if you are planning to get a new one, would you consider donating one you aren't using to Haiti H2O? Highland Park Light Up Night 2023

Hello, Friends and Neighbors, It's almost time to throw the switch on for HP Light Up Night on December 2, 2023! The Bryant Street Parklet will be aglow along with many of the Bryant Street businesses. St. Andrews Church will definitely be a go-to, offering free hot chocolate, fire pits for roasting marshmallows, s'more kits, music, AND pictures with Santa. Tazza D'Oro will be passing out brownies and blondies Galley AMA will be giving free handmade Holiday ornaments to those who stop by.. Periwinkle Fox will be having a free kids' activity. Panache is offering shoppers a 30% discount on purchases, All this and more to come! So, string those lights and hang the wreaths. Let's make Highland Park glitter and shine! I want to echo the praise for the Tech help offered through the HPCC. We have worked with Simon and we cannot say enough good things to describe the help he has given us. I might add, that when I go to the Apple Store, I always think they act a tad bored with my questions. Simon is patient, knowledgeable and sweet to boot- there, that should prove how old we are. Pet care

Thanksgiving is next week. Are you traveling and need someone to check on your pets? I’m an experienced pet owner (and mother of 3 teens) who is available to house/pet/plant sit while you are away. If you in Highland Park and need someone to check on your animals once or twice a day, send me an email. I’m not available for overnight stays but can do dog walks or yard playtime as well as hang out with cats etc. I also have experience with lizards, snakes, fish and other exotics as well as houseplant and garden care.
