Another dentist question, please

Hello neighbors, I realize there was a list of stellar dentists collected and shared last week or so. I downloaded, as well. However I wanted to please raise the question with a nuance added-- Looking for a dentist who is an especially good listener, and takes the time to hear their patients' unconventional needs and has an open mind to accommodate. I have a very rare nerve/autoimmune condition that most people in the medical field know almost nothing about, and need to advocate for myself to request dental accommodations such as extra-long-acting novocaine, extra cleanings that I pay for myself, etc. Could you please recommend a dentist whom you feel would be willing to do this? Very much appreciated. -Becky

Do you have any Anise hyssops in your yard?

Dear neighbors, Here's my question: Do you have any Anise hyssops (Agastache) in your garden or yard -- either native or non-native? Here's why I'm asking: I have just recently become aware that there’s a Korean hyssop (Agastache rugosa), that is threatening our native species (Agastache foeniculum). (For anyone who is interested in knowing more about this, it is described in an article from 2020: https://issuu.com/doryowen/docs/ppnov2020/s/13789912.) This article spurred me and a friend to investigate our own hyssops. We discovered, sadly, that only one of the four we thought were native plants actually is a genuine Agastache foeniculum. This is concerning to us mostly because we worry that the non-natives might be damaging the gene pool, so to speak. That led us to wondering whether this is an issue in the neighborhood in general. So, we'd very much appreciate a chance to examine, in person, any Anise hyssops you might have, whether they’re native or not. This would really help us refine our identification skills so that we'd be able to tell with confidence what type we are buying and growing. (And we'd be happy to share our results with you as well, if you’d like.) This request is open to anyone in Highland Park or any nearby neighborhoods: If you have any Anise hyssops, can we come look at them? Thanks, Claudette
