Bryant Street Festival is Sunday

After you have purchased everything at the yard sale on Sunday, stop at Bryant Street between N St Clair and N Highland for the Bryant Street Festival. From Noon to 5 pm, visit with some neighbors, check out what folks are selling, sit down and enjoy some music. Most everyone participating in the festival is from Highland Park or the surrounding neighborhoods. So if you prefer to buy local, this is a great chance to do it. help needed digging hole

I could use some help digging a hole in my garden to drain water from my downspout. Hole should be about 1.5 to 2 feet wide and about 4 - 5 feet deep. It’s clay soil so not easy to dig through. Will then fill the hole with 2 - 3 feet of gravel, change some piping which I will have purchased, and fill the rest of the hole. I had this done to another downspout about 2 years ago and it worked great. Unfortunately I am an “experienced” human (meaning up there in years) with a bad back and unable to dig the hole myself. It took about an hour to do this last time so plan on 1 to 2 hours. I will supply a shovel and materials. Any recommendations? thanks Jamie

Occasional Tween Boy Companion

Hello all- Our son (15 years old) is interested in earning some money by periodically taking care of/hanging out with a tween boy (best age range would be 7-12) for 1-3ish hours at a time. He is great with board games and outdoor ones as well (throwing footballs, baseball, soccer, basketball etc). He will mostly have time available from mid-July to mid-August.
