Volunteer Opportunity: Prepare Negley Run for tree planting this Saturday!

To help get the Negley Run Blvd hillside ready for tree planting this fall, Tree Pittsburgh has scheduled volunteer events for the last Saturday of each month this summer. Our first one will be Saturday, June 25, 9 am - noon and there will also be events one 7/30 and 8/27 as well. I am collecting used or new shopping bags, both plastic and paper with or without handles in preparation for a yard sale. I bet you forget to take those pesky plastic ones back to the market to get recycled. Make it easy and let me pick them up from your Highland Park home or nearby porch! If you’re like me, you can’t stand throwing away those nice paper bags with the cord handles either, but how many do we really need in our closets before they crowd out our shoes? The 2019 Spring Fling was the HPCC's first neighborhood BBQ - and what a success!
