The Reservoir of Jazz Concert Series kicks off this weekend! Each Sunday in August, pack a picnic and come listen to jazz at the park entry gardens from 5-7 pm. GE 24" Portable Dishwasher. Hooks up to any regular sink that uses a faucet with an aerator (see attached picture). This dishwasher is a great option for anyone who doesn't have room for an installed model or for renters! It's super convenient and offers additional countertop space. The wheels make it very easy to roll around the kitchen. It features a stainless steel interior, as well as a sanitize setting. It's also pretty quiet. We purchased this in April 2020, so it's just over a year old. The dishwasher works wonderfully, but we are remodeling our kitchen and adding a built-in model. CLA is a free 11-week course where participants learn about city operations, services and resources from leaders of city departments, offices, bureaus and authorities. The course encourages more informed, effective and inspired community and civic leadership by giving City residents an opportunity to understand and engage with their local government. The program is held twice per year and applications are open to individuals over age 18 who live in, or own and operate a business in, the City of Pittsburgh limits. The Fall 2021 session will be held virtually via Zoom every Wednesday, September 22nd – December 8th, 2021, from 6:00-8:30 PM. Applications are due August 27th, 2021 at midnight. This cohort will be mostly virtual, but some sessions will be offered in-person for a hands-on experience. COVID-19 CDC guidelines will be followed at all times. re: SPIN Scooters in the neighborhood and park

After reading Amy's post this morning and hearing about other risky behavior demonstrated by SPIN users this weekend, I reached out to the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI). I alerted her to the problems we're seeing and asked about their long term plans for the scooters, including if they have strategies to address the public safety issues they're causing. They said they'd host a meeting with neighborhood reps. I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, feel free to send the HPCC feedback about the SPIN scooters (positive or negative) so that I have a better sense for what's going on with them and how people feel about them.
