Parking issue: painted yellow lines

Has anyone noticed the new yellow lines painted on the corner of Elgin and Euclid? I phoned the city and they said they painted them there because you aren't supposed to be parked closer than 30 feet from the stop sign. We literally just lost 6 parking spaces at that corner. The yellow takes up half my front walk on both Elgin & Euclid. With five+ restaurants and Bryant Street market & other stores nearby, parking is already at a premium! Not everyone has a garage here, myself included. I often come home from work and don't have a place to park in front of my own house already. Doesn't 30 feet seem excessive? Is there anything that can be done about the situation? Anybody out there with me and willing to fight this? The buses don't even come down Elgin street & there is no visibility issue at that corner. Plus, why did they target that corner? Many other places were not painted yellow. Imo, those of us who live near the Bryant street district deserve better than this!

Repairman to move a claw foot rob and fix the drain.

Hi everyone. I’m looking for someone to move a clawfoot tub, pick up the floor to fix the drain and then reposition the tub. We were trying to lay a new floor, and somehow improved the tub enough that the drain is leaking, and the plumber says the only way to fix, is to tear up the floor underneath the tub. If you have recommendations, please send them my way. I’m really happy with my plumber, but he won’t take up the floor. I think that’s pretty common. Thx.

Houseplant seedlings

Hello all- I have an abundance of Mother of Thousands plants and would love to share some with the neighborhood. Pickup at my home on N Sheridan. If you bring you own pot with soil, they are free! $1 for pots with 2-4 seedlings $1 for pots with single established plants These plants are self propagating, meaning one will give you literally thousands, but they are also invasive so you can NOT put them outside! Other than that, they are the easiest plant ever to take care of! I am also always looking for more houseplants - if you'd like to trade plants for plants or have any for sale $5 or less, let me know! Thank you, Abi

FREE working microwave

Out on the sidewalk outside my building at 5916 Bryant Street. The main problem with it is the clock function isn’t/hasn’t been working well, but the main function of it still works great! FREE to the first person to pick it up. Will not hold. Just come get it. Thanks.
