Double header at this week's HPCC Community Meeting - 10/17

Hello Neighbors! We will have two interesting speakers at this week's community meeting: 1. *The Parks Conservancy *will be presenting information and answering questions about the proposed Parks Plan and ballot initiative. If passed, the ballot initiative would increase the millage rate to fund improved park safety, increased fair funding and access, and upgraded maintenance and facilities for all existing city parks. The Conservancy is conducting information sessions across the city to inform people about this important vote. If you cannot attend our meeting but want to learn more, check out the FAQs here: https://cdn2.hubspot.net/hubfs/415693/PPC_FAQ-1.pdf and their information session schedule here: https://www.pittsburghparks.org/parksplan 2. *PWSA *will provide information on the rising main project which will connect the two Highland Park reservoirs and replace the small pump house at the north end of Negley. They will also unveil preliminary designs for the new building which will be larger and set further back from the road from the existing building. Construction will begin sometime mid-2020. The meeting will be this Thursday, October 17, at 7 pm at St. Andrew's church. Pizza and a supervised kids' activity table will be provided. Also, *there's still time to sign up for a free tree! * The HPCC and Tree Pittsburgh are sponsoring a tree giveaway for Highland Park residents on November 2nd. Tree species that you can pick from may include river birch, sycamore, kousa dogwood, american hornbeam, and redbud. Saplings will be in two gallon pots for you to plant on your property: one per person, up to two per household. Sign up in advance to be guaranteed a tree. Dining room furniture for sale

Cherry finish with some wear and tear. The pictures aren’t great but all the pieces are the same finish. Oval table 56”x40” with two 12” inch leaves plus a glass top (only fits when the table does not have the leaves in it) China closet 71” high, 15” deep at widest spot and inside shelves are 11” deep. It’s deep enough to hold dinner plates. Small Buffet- 36”x18” 4 matching chairs with light colored upholstery and 2 additional chairs in the same finish with the same upholstery but different styles. $600 - I’d prefer to sell it as a set.
