Amateur locksmith?

I have a filing cabinet with a key and combination lock. I have never used the combination lock but it is now locked. I have the default combination from the factory but it doesn't work. 2 locksmiths want to force open the lock which will ruin the cabinet. Any suggestions? Thanks
