Soup N'At at Union Project Sunday, February 25 at 6 PM - 8 PM To the artists out there with good ideas, Soup N’at is back this February and ready to support artistic ideas and new projects. We are here to help artists of all mediums and persuasions to take your dream one step further to reality. --------Call For Artists------- Artists of all mediums are invited to apply by Wednesday, February 14, 2018 by 11:59pm to get your project on the ballot. Apply here!: https:// soupnat.wordpress.com/submission-guidelines/ Union Project will be serving local soup and fund local art in Pittsburgh. -------The Scoop------ Soup N’at is a bi-annual event that raises funds for artists to realize their dream projects. Approximately five finalists will be chosen to present their proposals to an audience of soup loving attendees. At the end of the night, each attendee will cast a vote for their favorite project. The winning artist will walk away with all of the night’s proceeds to bring their dream to life. Your $10 cash donation at the door gives you these awesome things: - Delicious soup from a local restaurant - A voting ballot - Entertainment by a local performer - Beer - The unmistakeable satisfaction that comes with supporting our local artists Soup N'at is organized by Union Project and supported by a group of dedicated volunteers. Creative Conversation: Feb. Empty Bowls Glazing Thursday, February 15 at 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM Union Project's Creative Conversations provide a platform for community members to engage in important conversations around agape love, finding and defining community, and inclusion. Each conversation is shaped by those participating in this open format. Come share your unique perspectives, hopes, and concerns for the community! The topic this month is included with an activity to fight hunger. You are invited to join us at Union Project for a free bowl-decorating party to support Just Harvest <https://www.facebook.com/JustHarvest/> and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank <https://www.facebook.com/pghfoodbank/>'s 23rd Annual Empty Bowls Dinner 2018. Community members of all skill and experience levels are welcome to help decorate a bowl for a great cause. We’ll have all the materials you need and some of our ceramics cooperative members to help out. All the bowls created will be fired and donated to Just Harvest and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Empty Bowls is a national grassroots effort to fight hunger. At a later date, the Empty Bowls fundraiser will occur - guests receive a handcrafted bowl and a simple meal of soup and bread. Guests keep their bowl as a reminder of those struggling to feed their families.
