Does anyone else think dedicated turning lanes on southbound N Negley Ave between Penn and East Liberty Ave make no sense? Traffics backs up between Penn and Sliberty now. Was this a project of the unpaid summer intern in the Transportation and Engineering Dept.?

Full time and part time Daycare spot open!

I have a full time and part time daycare spot open! I am open from 7:15 am to 5pm, it is a hands on in home daycare with over 7 years of experience with children from 3 months to 6 years, cpr and first aid training, a degree in early education and am licensed under the state. I am dedicated to not only taking care of the children but beginning their learning experience with preschool curriculum based on the child/childrens age. I watch the children in the lower level of my house which is remodeled just for the daycare so that the children have nothing of danger they could get into, and focus a lot of my time on art work, crafts, reading, outdoor time, music and exercise. We travel to the library, zoo, parks and volleyball court with our four kid stroller. Hi all, The HPCC has been in communication with folks from the City Department of Public Safety on this issue. There were no reports of shots fired in or around the park last night, and when Animal control examined the carcass after removing it from the park, they determined that it was not shot, and was most likely struck by a car. Hunting is legal within city limits, but NOT within city parks. Section 473.01 below addresses city parks specifically. Animal Control is aware of the dead deer and plans to remove it today. Deer shot by the Farmhouse playground

My husband found this deer that was shot about 50 feet from the baseball field (and 100 feet from the Farmhouse playground) while walking our dog early this morning. We called 311 to alert them. Does anyone have any information about laws regarding hunting in public parks in Pittsburgh. Is this allowed? Thanks. Yael Schenker Sent from my iPhone
